Biography
Abuna Jones Campbell is a commercial attorney with expertise in private equity, corporate finance, capital markets, real estate, infrastructure, employment, and data protection law. Called to the Bar in April 2019, he began his legal career at Harrison & Harrison Attorneys-at-Law before joining Cardinal Law, where he is now a partner.
Abuna advises investment firms, listed and private companies, microcredit institutions, and high-net-worth individuals on a range of complex transactions and regulatory matters across the Caribbean. His core practice areas include capital markets, fund structuring, mergers & acquisitions, private credit, secured lending, real estate transactions, employment & labour and regulatory compliance.
Abuna serves as company secretary and non-executive director for several private entities, including Lifespan Company Limited, First Angels Caribbean Limited, Rev Up Jamaica Limited, and Term Finance Jamaica Limited. He is also a member of the Audit and Compliance Committee of Jamaica Professional Football Limited, a subsidiary of the Jamaica Football Federation and operator of the Jamaica Premier League.
He frequently advises on corporate governance, risk management, and regulatory licensing, particularly for microcredit and investment firms. He also supports clients with asset protection, tax-efficient structuring, and employment law compliance, including data protection and privacy obligations.
